PIIERS
Personal Injury-Illness-Exposure Reporting System

PIIERS is the Personal Injury and Illness Reporting System created by the Washington Chapter of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network to allow you, the user, the ability to electronically store and record all of your health history, occupational exposures and document calls of significance.

The information kept in the PIIERS database is a valuable resource to you when you meet with your doctor for you annual physical to demonstrate the work experience and help the doctor in determing the appropriate screens or tests related to your occupational exposures.  It is also valuable when you need to provide supporting documentation when you a faced with filing an occupational illness claim.

The information available to you is only as good as the information that you enter.  If you provide insufficient or inaccurate information, it will be of no value to when needed.

This information is protected from public disclosure as it is not mandated by your employer and that it is hosted by a non-profit organization in the WSCFF.

Attached is a link to a video of the rollout presentation during the 2015 WSCFF Spring Educational Seminar.

For further information, please contact us at the top of the page and we will get back to you.

In the course of routine work, firefighters are exposed to health hazards as a result of emissions from fires, chemicals from spills and accidental releases, potentially infectious materials from individuals, and other known disease-causing substances. Currently, no system exists for firefighters to document and report these work-related hazardous exposures.
